The Dun & Bradstreet® DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System) Minority & Women-Owned Businesses search is an extensive file of socioeconomic and women-owned businesses in the nation. This information is useful for businesses that want to diversify, penetrate a new market, or target a market with great potential.

Before you begin this task:

Procedure:
  1. Enter the name of the company.
  2. Enter the last name of the executive.
  3. Enter the first name of the executive.
  4. Enter the street address with or without numbers.
    You can also include any other details (for example, Ave, St, Ct, or Blvd).
  5. Enter the city.
  6. Select the state.
  7. Enter the ZIP Code (for example, 12345 or 12345-6789).
  8. Enter a complete phone number with or without dashes, spaces, periods, or an area code (for example, 1234567891, (123)4567891, 123 456 7891, 123 4567891, 123-456-7891, 123.456.7891, 456-7891, or (123) 456 7891).
  9. Enter the SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) code for the business.
  10. Enter an industry to target your research.
  11. Enter a description of the business (for example, Finance or Investment Advisory Service).
  12. Enter the words or the phrases that must be included in the document.

  14. To associate your search with a customer or a topic, provide a label (for example, the customer's name or a topic name) in the Reference ID field.
