Offline Civil & Criminal Court Records Search

The Offline Civil & Criminal Court Records (OCCCR) search lets you place online orders for offline civil and criminal docket information and filings from virtually any county court in the United States.

Before you begin this task:
Fee Notice Additional fees apply to this search. The report fee is based on the report type that you request. To view specific information about fees for this report, click the Fee Notice link in the search form.
  • Depending on your product subscription, you may not have access to this search.
  • Enter information in at least one field. When you enter information into multiple fields, your search precision increases.
  • To search more broadly, complete fewer fields.
  • When you search common names, complete as many fields as you can to avoid large result sets.
  • Only one name is allowed per request. Enter only one name in name fields.
  • Fields that you must complete are indicated with an asterisk (*).
  • To view source information for this search, click Source.
  • Boolean search characters are not accepted for this search request.
  • During this procedure, if you want to clear all the information you have entered, click Clear.
Procedure:
  1. Enter the SSN (Social Security number) with or without dashes or spaces (for example, 123456789, 123-45-6789, or 123 45 6789).
  2. Enter the last name.
  3. Enter the first name.
  4. Enter the middle name or the middle initial.
  5. Enter the street address with or without numbers.
    You can also include any other details (for example, Ave, St, Ct, or Blvd).
  6. Enter the city.
  7. Select the state.
  8. Enter the ZIP Code (for example, 12345 or 12345-6789).
  9. Enter the subject's DOB (date of birth) in the MM/dd/yyyy format (for example, 02/14/1963).
  10. Select the number of years that the search should include.
    Fee Notice If you select 10 years, there are additional charges.
  11. To associate your search with a customer or a topic, provide a label (for example, the customer's name or a topic name) in the Reference ID field.
    The History function lets you view the searches that are associated with a reference ID.
    Note Your organization may require a reference ID in a particular format. Additionally, the contents of this field may be automatically completed or the field may have restrictions that are configured by your administrator.
  12. Click Continue.
    The next page loads and the Order Steps indicator changes from 1 Enter Subject Information to 2 Enter Counties and Search Types.
    Tip To return to the previous screen, click the previous step in the Order Steps indicator.
  13. Select how you would like to search the counties. The fields change according to your selection.
  14. Enter the information that is associated with your selection.
  15. Click Continue.
    The next page loads and the Order Steps indication changes from 2 Enter Counties and Search Types to 3 Enter Contact Information.
  16. Enter your contact information to receive status updates, and click Continue.
    The next page loads and the Order Steps indication changes from 3 Enter Contact Information to 4 Confirm Order Details and Submit Order.
  17. Review the order details and estimated fee for the report. To revise the details, click Edit.
  18. Click Submit Order.
    The order is submitted for processing. Orders received after 15:00 Eastern Time (UTC (coordinated universal time) -4/-5) are submitted the next business day. All Federal holidays are observed. Reports are normally returned within five to seven days; however, the turn-around time varies according to the jurisdiction where the report is sourced.
After you complete this task:
After receiving an email indicating that the report is ready, or after noticing that the Direct to Source Results menu bar option in a Direct to Source search form displays a number indicating that one or more reports are ready, access the report. To access a report, complete any of the following actions:
  • Click Direct to Source Results under the Direct to Source category on your home page.
  • In one of the Direct to Source search forms, click the Direct to Source tab at the top of the page.
