RiskView Liens & Judgments Report Search

LexisNexis® RiskView™ Liens & Judgments Report is a credit-risk management tool that is designed to help evaluate the risk that is associated with lending to a consumer.

RiskView Liens & Judgments Report returns a report that contains details about lien and judgment records that are associated with a consumer. RiskView Liens & Judgments Report is offered to multiple industries that include auto lending, bank credit card issuers, DDA (demand deposit account) opening, retail credit card issuers, short-term lenders, and telecommunications and utility providers.

At a minimum, you must provide information in one of the following field groups:

  • First Name, Last Name, Street, and either City and State or ZIP Code
  • First Name, Last Name, and SSN
Procedure:
  1. Enter the SSN (Social Security number) with or without dashes or spaces (for example, 123456789, 123-45-6789, or 123 45 6789).
  2. Enter the LexID® number that is assigned by LexisNexis® Risk Solutions with or without dashes (for example, 0123-4567-8901 or 012345678901).
  3. Enter the last name.
  4. Enter the first name.
  5. Enter the middle name or the middle initial.
  6. Enter the name suffix (for example, Jr or Sr).
  7. Enter the street address with or without numbers.
    You can also include any other details (for example, Ave, St, Ct, or Blvd).
  8. Enter the city.
  9. Select the state.
  10. Enter the ZIP Code (for example, 12345 or 12345-6789).
  11. Enter a complete phone number with or without dashes, spaces, periods, or an area code (for example, 1234567891, (123)4567891, 123 456 7891, 123 4567891, 123-456-7891, 123.456.7891, 456-7891, or (123) 456 7891).
  12. Enter the subject's DOB (date of birth) information.
  13. Enter the driver license number.
  14. Select the state that issued the driver license.
  15. If you are a retail seller and intend to use the services to issue credit to consumers in California, check the California Credit Reporting Agencies Act box.
  16. To associate your search with a customer or a topic, provide a label (for example, the customer's name or a topic name) in the Reference ID field.
    Note Your organization may require a reference ID in a particular format. Additionally, the contents of this field may be automatically completed or the field may have restrictions that are configured by your administrator.
  17. To exclude public records that do not contain a full SSN or the last four digits of the SSN, toggle the search filter switch to YES.
  18. To include or exclude certain liens, warrants, and judgments, toggle the appropriate search filter switch.
  19. To limit the lien or judgment reporting period, enter the desired reporting period in number of months from the filing date.
    Note The default value of 84 returns all liens or judgments that have a filing date that is in the last seven years.
  20. Click Search.
