The SOS (Secretary of State) Filings source contains corporation filings with information on records of incorporation, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships. These records are registrations with SOS departments or equivalent state agencies.

State Coverage	Forty-nine states and the District of Columbia Delaware, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam are excluded
Date Coverage	The District of Columbia contains only initial filings. Wyoming does not send an updated status when a foreign incorporation filing becomes inactive. District of Columbia corporations have a gap in coverage from March 2011 through December 2011, and are missing May 2012 filings. These missing updates cannot be obtained.
