The Mortgage Fraud Report contains data from a variety of source which will vary based on the report options you choose. LexisNexis® Risk Solutions uses sophisticated, multi-source data comparisons to verify and validate the entered information. The sources used include the EDA (electronic directory assistance), white page sources, and other sources that are updated daily. The data that you enter is verified using these sources and validated using sophisticated software tools.
Sources that are used to retrieve address and property history include deed transfers, tax assessor records, and mortgage records. Mortgage and deed records contain county court house real estate records for selected state and county combinations. The mortgage materials include both purchase money and non-purchase money loans. The term mortgage is used to mean both mortgages and deed of trust. Property deed and mortgage information can include multiple buyer names, multiple seller names, borrower information, loan type, interest rate, and interest rate type.
