Search Tips

You can select and click various links and icons in your search process.

Your access to search forms and what you see in the search forms depend upon the following items:

  • Your product subscription and your administrative settings
  • Your permissible use selections

    You can change your selections before each search.

  • Your choices within a search form

    For example, after you select a country in some search forms, the fields change to be appropriate for that country.

The following search elements are common to all search forms:
Permissible Use selections
Your DPPA (Driver’s Privacy Protection Act), GLBA (Gramm‐Leach‐Bliley Act), and DMF (Death Master File) permissible use selections appear at the bottom of the form. You click the links to change your permissible use selections before you run a new search.

The Source link appears above the Reference ID field. You click Source to view the source information for the search results.
Asterisks
Asterisks (*) appear in fields to indicate that the field is required. You must enter or select information for the search to be valid.
Help icon
The Help icon () links to information that is associated with the search form.
