WorldCompliance Online Search - Entity Name

You can enter an entity name to complete the WorldCompliance Online Search form.

note.pngTo submit a new name for possible inclusion, click Submit New Name, and fill out the form.

You can enter up to 10 entity names in the search form.

Procedure
  1. Select Search by Entity Name(s).
  2. Select an entity type, and enter search information:
    • Select Individual, and enter the first name, the last name, and the year of birth (optional) (for example, John Doe or John Doe 1972).
    • Select Organization or Vessel, and enter the name of the organization or the vessel.
      note.pngFor best results, do not include the organization name suffix (for example, enter Abacus Forensic instead of Abacus Forensic Limited.
    • Select Unknown, and enter the first name, the last name, and the year of birth (optional), or enter the name of the organization or the vessel.
  3. To combine profiles with multiple sources or aliases in a single match result and return a more narrow set of search results, select Consolidate Search Results.
  4. Select a threshold percentage between 80 percent and 100 percent to specify how closely the search terms should match the results.

    A threshold of 100 percent means that the input data and the list data must be an exact match. A threshold of 80 percent means that additional fuzzy search logic will be used to look for spelling and name variations. The default is 85 percent match criteria.

  5. To associate your search with a customer or a topic, provide a label (for example, the customer's name or a topic name) in the Reference ID field.
    The History function lets you view the searches that are associated with a reference ID.
    note.pngYour organization may require a reference ID in a particular format. Additionally, the contents of this field may be automatically completed or the field may have restrictions that are configured by your administrator.
  6. Click Search.
