Tabs

Tabs provide you with easy access to your searches.

When you select a search, a tab is created in the Global Navigation bar. Any actions that are completed (called a research stream) for the same search are listed in the same tab. A research stream includes all of the searches and reports that you have run from results that originated from an original search.

For example, if you run a Find a Person search, and click SmartLinx® Person Report in the results Action column, the SmartLinx® Person Report becomes part of the search stream (tab history) and appears in the same tab.

To view the tab history, click the arrow that is to the left of the tab.

New searches that are not associated with the results page cause a new tab to be created. Up to 25 tabs can be created. Tabs appear below the Global Navigation bar. You can manage tabs with the Manage Tabs menu that is to the right of the tabs.

note.pngWhen you sign out of the application, you specify whether you want the tabs to be saved until midnight Eastern Time (UTC (coordinated universal time) -4/-5). This option is useful if you plan to open another session the same day. You can also specify whether you want to make this choice each time you sign out. This setting can be changed in Preferences. For additional information about this setting, see Sign Out.
