Find a Person Search Results

Results for the Find a Person search are sorted in order of most relevant to least relevant, based on the information that you entered. Your search terms appear at the top of the results.

Report and Results Elements and Icons

Reports and results contain elements that provide information to help you complete additional research actions.

Reports and results may contain risk indicator flags. Risk indicator flags indicate a potential risk that may need further investigation. For information about risk indicator flags and other informational icons, see Informational and Risk Indicator Icons.

The following table displays the Find a Person results page properties.

Column Name Details
All The All column lets you select sections of the document to print or download. Select All to print or download the items and sections that are included in the results.

The Copy to clipboard icon () lets you copy the search results to the clipboard. The results appear in plain text in a separate window. Follow the instructions in the window to paste the text in a compatible application.

Full Name The Full Name column displays the full name of the subject. Potential household members also appear in this column. Multiple names may be displayed to group identical results.

Names and the following special designations appear: AKA (also known as), FKA (formally known as), and PKA (possibly known as).

Additional information about the subjects include the SSN (Social Security number), DOB (date of birth), DOD (date of death), age, gender, and LexID® number.

note.png If you search only a phone number, then you may receive business or government listings in addition to people's names.

Data may be masked depending on your access level. See Masked Data.

The padlock icon () is displayed when the date of death is provided solely by the LADMF (Limited Access Death Master File). To view the date of death, you click the padlock.

If the peek feature is enabled, then dates of death that are provided solely by the LADMF are masked, and the padlock with an eyeball icon () is displayed. To view the date of death, you click the icon, and the unlocked padlock with an eyeball icon () is displayed. After 60 seconds have elapsed, or when you click the icon, the data is masked again, and the padlock with an eyeball icon () is displayed.

Address The Address column displays possible addresses for the subject and potential household members. Multiple addresses are listed in reverse chronological order with the most current address listed first. If the search retrieves multiple results for the same address, then the results are grouped together. Multiple addresses may also appear if the system recognizes that a city may also be known by another name. For example, Skokie, Illinois, is also known as Chicago, Illinois. 

If a View more addresses link appears, then only addresses that have been associated with the person within the past 12 months are visible. Click the link to view all addresses that have been associated with the person.

tip.pngThe Display only most recent addresses for Find a Person (12 months) setting determines the addresses that are displayed. For information about this setting, see Change Your Search and Results Settings.

The More Searches icon () is displayed if additional searches are available for a result. Click (More Searches) to view additional search possibilities.

The View Map icon () is displayed if the address can be viewed on a map. Click (View Map) to view the location.

caution.pngAs of August 31, 2017, the View Map feature is no longer supported in Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, 8, or 9.

Phone The Phone column displays phone numbers that may be associated with the subject. Risk and information icons indicate information about the phone number. For information about the icons that may appear, see Informational and Risk Indicator Icons.
Actions The Actions column includes additional actions that are available for the results, including additional searches and reports that you may want to generate to further investigate. Click (Open in New Window) to open the report in a new window.

The Sources link displays the sources that were used to obtain the results.
