If a relationship branch is present, then the relative is preceded by a plus symbol, which indicates that you can expand the row to reveal second-degree relatives. Third-degree relatives are accessed in the same manner.
Click Show All Details to expand all branches. The following guidelines are used to define the degrees:
  • First-degree relatives are people in LexisNexis Risk Solutions data who are most-closely related to the subject, such as a spouse, sibling, child, or parent.
  • Second-degree relatives tend to be relatives who are closely related to the first-degree relatives. These relatives include aunts, cousins, and in-laws.
  • Third-degree relatives are close relatives of the subject's second-degree relatives.
